The third edition of the winter series Mobile World Cup Deluxe Ski Jump is behind us. For almost four months we held 16 competitions on various hills, from "little" to mammoth. The level of the tournament did not disappoint, the competition was full of long flights and record-breaking results.
The tournament series started at ๐ง๐ชBEL K95, where @Darek won with quite a large advantage and became the first leader of the Cup. The next competitions, held at ๐ซ๐ทFRA K160, ๐ญ๐บHUN K180 and ๐ธ๐ฐSVK K110, were won by: @jcoob (with a minimal advantage over @Dawid), @Darek (a hair ahead of @jcoob) and @kuhmeel, beating a great personal record of 131.76 m. The next three competitions held at the turn of the year on ๐ช๐ชEST K155, ๐ฎ๐ธISL K190 and ๐ฐ๐ฟKZK K85 were won by @jcoob. Noteworthy is the unofficial world record (UWR) in the ๐ฎ๐ธISL K190 - 215.50 m by @jcoob, and the equally impressive unofficial world record in the classic style (UWRC) - 215.44 m jumped by @Darek.
By the end of January, the jumpers visited the facilities of the ๐บ๐ธUSA K130, ๐ฏ๐ตJPN K210 and ๐ณ๐ฑNED K100. In the first of these competitions, @Darek won with a great personal best of 167.59 m, in the next two, @jcoob, who set the UWRC in the Netherlands, now amounting to 126.10 m.
In the next phase of the cycle, we had to compete in the ๐ฑ๐ปLAT K165, where a convincing victory was won by @jcoob, with UWR 192.35 m and UWR 192.20 m, ๐ท๐บRUS K200, with a fantastic performance by @Dawid and a personal best of 230.32 m, and ๐ฆ๐นAUT K70, where the rivals had no illusions left @kuhmeel, securing the victory with a jump of 83.87 m.
The last three weeks of competition were the following venues: ๐ธ๐ชSWE K140, where @jcoob won, but the real highlight of the competition was UWRC 165.83 m by @pawel99970, ๐จ๐ณCHN K205, where @Darek and @jcoob left the rest of the field, but it was the latter, beating UWR with a jump of 245 .34, secured the victory, and ๐ต๐ฑPOL K80, where @jcoob confirmed his good form again.
Ultimately, @jcoob won the entire series, scoring 1,450 points. The second @Darek lost 365 points to the leader, the bronze went to @Dawid with a loss of 425 points. The fourth in the overall ranking, @konradpindur, as well as the fifth, @kuhmeel, who recorded the first in his career, and hopefully not the last, victory in the DSJ2.pl competition, also showed consistent, high form throughout the season.
We would like to thank all players for every competition jump and for every comment in the tournament chat. The next official tournament will take place in the summer, when, just like last year, we will organize the DSJ Mobile Summer Grand Prix. Follow the news on the website and forum, we will inform you about the details soon. In the meantime, don't hang up your skis, you can also jump between tournaments :)
